US Invades Iraq Because Some Schmuck Wanted A Green Card

curveball.jpgMeet “Curve Ball” - an Iraqi defector responsible to feeding the West false information about the status of Iraq’s biological weapons program.

Rafid Ahmed Alwan provided “information” which then became a pillar for the U.S. decision to bomb and then invade Iraq.

Remember Colin Powell presenting information at the UN to drum up support for the invasion of Iraq? Well most of this was because of Curve Balls lies. How stupid is this situation?

According a report on CBS 60 Minutes, which for you Americans will air on November 4th, Curve Ball was Chemical Engineering student - albeit a bad one with grades averaging around 50. He also has an arrest warrant for theft where he once worked.

It just goes to show the pathetic nature of the justification to go to war and the extent to which lies are used in the current Administration. As for Curve Ball and the reason why he did it;

“It was a guy trying to get his green card essentially, in Germany, and playing the system for what it was worth.” CBS

Now as the war machine powers towards Iran, watch out for more lies and false justification.

911 Mysteries Video

Whether you think it holds water or not, the 911Truth movement is gaining traction. In a recent report on MSNBC Tucker Carlson show, a poll was cited saying that one third of Americans believe the US government is not telling the truth about 911.

Now for the record, I am into 911Truth. Simple logic dictates that the official story the media and government spins is full of holes. I’m not saying that all the government is involved. I’m talking about rogue elements of the current administration with roots that go beyond parties and stretch before Bush’s administration and will reach reach into the next one.

If you sit on the fence on this debate or are not too well versed, I invite you to check out the following clips.

It’s certainly food for thought. As a result of 911, we have the “War on Terror” - a war many people have said will last for 100 years. After successfully selling the story that Iraq had WMD’s, now the propaganda machine has it’s sites set on Iran.

The CIA has set up a large propaganda machine, similar to the one set up for the war in Iraq, to prepare the public to swallow the “we need to go to war against Iran” pill. An interesting news report can be viewed here.

Tell me, did we ever find the WMD’s we were sure Saddam had? You know, the ones where fancy diagrams were presented at the UN in an effort to draw up support? Nope. And now we are about to be duped again by an Administration led by a liar and a criminal.

The neocons of American politics are a deadly, war hungry, hell bent group of leaders with people like Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al, execute policy designed to implement PNAC - whether we like it or not.

For an interesting read on how this is panning out, read this article by Jim Holt, a New York Times Magazine and New Yorker writer. It talks about the untapped potential of Iraq’s oil - worth an estimated $30 trillion. But that’s not all. It also delves into protecting America versus the surge of China’s power. It talks about the US being the importer or cheap oil into Europe and it talks about the threat of Iran to this whole process.

And then we wonder why Iran is on the American radar. Iran is not a nuclear threat. Sure it has a whacked out leader, but so does America. No, Iran’s got oil also.

To protect the PNAC plan, the US will stay in Iraq on a long term basis. It’s building bases. Big ones.

Click here for the Google Maps page so you can zoom in on a base 40 miles north of Baghdad - and check out the football fields, swimming pools and fighter planes on the runway. It’s been said that the only runway used more then the one at this base is Heathrow airport. There are at least 5 of these super bases spread throughout Iraq. Designed to protect the oil fields American companies will soon have control over. And they will be used to launch an offensive against Iran - a mere 400 miles east of the base.

So. Still think 911 was caused by 19 hijackers controlled by some nut in a cave? Or can you see how “convenient” 911 was to implement the plans of the neocons?

Ticked

ticked.jpg I like to keep a watch on general world events as it’s fascinating to see how things pan out and then watch all the rhetoric garbage follow in an attempt to justify or cover up certain actions.

As an Aussie, I have the “privilege” of having George Bush grace our wonderful continent as part of the APEC summit. Being a Melbournian, I am 900 kilometers away from the action. But my frustration goes out to my fellow Sydney based Aussies who have to deal with all the trappings of a city under “summit”.

The disruptions caused by this summit have been well documented. The net effects of the summit are in question as it represents the leaders of some of the poorest and most exploited people on this planet.

I almost crashed my car when I heard that China’s President, Hu Jintao, is coming with his wife and TWO kids! What the hell happened to China’s one child policy when it comes to the head honcho? In light of all the recent recalls on Chinese products, maybe China should recall their leader out of my country.

Then today I see that China has been accused of hacking computers. First German security interests were hacked with Beijing being bantered around as a prime suspect. Next we see the Pentagon hacked as well with Trojans and back doors - with a sign dangling, “Made in China”. Then they have the audacity of gathering together at a summit pretending to like each other while they secretly plot the destruction of each other.

Adding to the lovely lists of delegates is Mr Bush himself. A recent poll found that 52% of Australians see George as the worst President ever - with another 38% being undecided about how pathetic Bush is. On his way, he snuck into Iraq for a propaganda visit saying that troop build up has detered much havoc in the region.

I find this a joke as many analysts are now coming out of the wood work and openly discussing the next step the US will take in the region - the annihilation of Iran’s military.

So Mr gutless wonder, George Bush, sneaks into a country he has invaded spewing his rhetoric about how successful the US has been in the region while his cronies secretly plot the destruction of Iran. What will be the catalyst of this invasion? Another terrorist attack on US soil - aka false flag? Who knows? But 1,200 targets in Iran should be nervous tonight as they have laser guided missles pointing at them right now.

But all is good as the Asia Pacific “leaders” of the world gather in my country to discuss economic prosperity. Yeah trust money to be the only glue to gel all the world leaders.

Meanwhile a Category 5 “monster storm” is hitting Central America as we speak. My US readers. Please inform me how much news attention this devastating storm is getting in your wonderful country as it hits the “dead beats” south of your border. The “tossing of the seas” the Bible talks about as a sign of major trouble is ignored on mass as the networks feed you trash.

I’m tired of the US centric nature of so called “world news”. The masses are more inclined to watch sports or focus their attention on celebrities rather then to know what’s happening in the world.

And that’s why I am ticked tonight. This world is heading down the toilet and people don’t give a shit about anything which doesn’t affect their ability to earn money or pursue pleasure.

A bunch of things have captured my attention in the last week.

As everyone knows, the US suffered another heart wrenching reality when the bridge of the Interstate 35W over the Mississippi River in Minneapolis collapsed. The suddenness of this collapse can be viewed here. I don’t want to downplay this event in any way, but what tugs on my heart is that when something happens in the US, the whole world knows about it. It’s like the worlds media is so US centric.

I remember watching a video clip of a girl in Iraq being stoned to death on rumors she was seeing a boy - which turned out to be false. But this video showed her in a panic on the floor as a crazy mob surrounded here throwing boulders onto her head. After one of the boulders hit it’s target, she stopped moving. It was reported that it was her uncle who threw this boulder. After another boulder crashed into her skull, the blood poured out. And the boulders just kept on coming. I watched this months ago and I am shaking now as I recall what I saw. But the world’s media didn’t report this.

Like I said, I don’t want to down play what happened in Minneapolis. A tragedy is a tragedy - no matter where it occurs. Dr. John Piper is a Pastor at Bethlehem Baptist Church and their offices are less than a mile from where this occurred. Their website has an excellent video filmed by their crews of the aftermath. Super imposed onto this is a sermon of Piper’s regarding suffering. Great viewing if you crave learning. To tug at your heart, Piper also wrote a poem here.

In a completely different world, the guys at LifeChurch.tv are an innovative bunch indeed. Bobby Gruenewald, (Innovation Leader) is already notorious for opening up a Campus on virtual reality world Second Life. Don’t know what it’s all about? Check out the Wikipadia entry here and follow through his reasoning here and here. His next venture is on flavor of the month social networking mega tool, Facebook.

Facebook has about 30 million users - half of which have subscribed over the last 6 months! When you think “viral” Facebook makes the flu look like a snail! You want to be culturally “with it” in terms of connecting with people and knowing what’s hot online right now, you just got to do Faebook. Fortunately, Gruenewald has done an excellent 4 part series on Facebook to turn you from ignorance to geek in no time. Check out the links here. <Part 1> <Part 2> <Part 3> <Part 4>

Talking about being culturally relevant, missional guru Tim Keller has just released a four part series called “Ministry in the New Global Culture of Major City-Centers”. What a timely series of articles given the fact that many regional towns are becoming anorexic in their populations as droves move to the city. The Apostle Paul understood this and planted Churches in the busiest and strategically important cities in Asia minor - thus allowing the gospel to spread.

Mark Driscoll talks a lot about how cities are culture definers and suburbs being culture followers. You wanna make change in an area? Hit the city! And Keller has an excellent 4 part series here: <part 1> <part 2> <part 3> <part 4>

MommyZabs is a mommy blogger who I have got to know over time. She has been following what’s going on in China for awhile now in terms of human rights and abuse. Lately she has focused a fair bit of attention on the toy industry and talked about lead levels in toys way before it hit the media. If you’re a parent, head over to MommyZabs and get the low down from a Mommy with purpose!

Finally, tomorrow, my church starts on expository preaching. My Pastor has decided to launch into Ephesians for a number of reasons. But one that sticks out is the issue of unity in the church. I can’t wait to see what he has come up with. He asked me to do a little media presentation for the series opener. And so here is what I came up with. Keep in mind, I am just a lay guy - and that includes media!
