Nah not really but I thought I would use that title just to draw your attention. I follow a blog called “Poop is emergent too” – a satirical look at the emergent movement prevalent in modern Christianity and this YouTube clip appeared on his profile. To those of you NOT familiar with the “discussion” on this area, you may as well leave now – as nothing will make sense to you from now on.
But if you follow this “conversation” you will laugh with the following video – unless of course you are targeted by it’s views:
For the record. I do not subscribe to the Emergent way – just in case the tone of this post was not evident. I vote for the missional crowd. But that’s another post. So just leave your comments below if you care to do so….
Watching the US election from afar, it’s interesting to see how much has changed in America. Tongue in cheek comment: Probably has a lot to do with this kind of rhetoric…
I just hope Obama can actually deliver on this “so called change.” He already has asked my country for more troops to Afghanistan. Wassup with that Obama?
We all have those days when all seems to go wrong. To not get out of bed at all would have been a far better option on that particular day. I know I fit into this category.
And that’s why I had a big smile on my face as I browsed through the The FAIL Blog. The concept of this blog is simple and brilliantly funny and uplifting to those having a crappy day.
The author gets people to send in funny photo’s and he slaps the word “FAIL” on it to depict how this photo shows the many failures of this world. Below are six examples that I found hilarious. Visit The FAIL Blog for more…
With the cow one, I’m not being rude – just totally sympathetic
Being a sales rep, I travel around a fair bit. I’ve only recently discovered beef jerky. Every time I went to a petrol station (yeah I know, you Yanks call them gas stations) I saw these horrible looking dry pieces of meat in air vacuumed packs and almost dry reached every time I saw them.
The other day, I bit the bullet and actually bought a pack. I must have been delirious from all the driving and totally over Mentos and Crunchie bars. I hesitantly opened the pack, took a sniff and wondered why on earth I bought this stuff.
But in my travels, I got hungry and the only edible things was this dried out beef. So I jerked open the pack (pun intended) and cautiously placed a piece in my mouth. I eat my meat medium raw so to put a piece in my mouth hard as a bone was freaky!
But as my saliva mixed with the jerky, a metamorphic experience occurred and this hard jerky turned into soft meaty mush. And it was delicious! And I’m lead to believe, quite nutritious! Well at least after my sugar highs with Mentos and Crunchies!
So I became a fan and these days, I actually check out the jerky’s and pick and chose from among the different brands and flavours. So you can imagine the smile the following video’s brought to my face when I saw them on YouTube today.
Jack Links is a brand I have no idea about. But their adds on YouTube cracked me up. You guys in the US probably have seen these already, but me, as an Aussie, haven’t seen them before and I thought I would post them here to remind myself to have a laugh.
In this age of political correctness, these adds shine through with humour and wit. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Having a great time with my "in laws". Sweet way to spend a lazy Sat arvo. Awesome time last night with bro's and fam's. Good times indeed.March 13, 2010 5:31
