    Well, she shows up near the end of the video. I associate her with the name-it-claim-it-prosperity-gospel group. :P Not someone I expected to see at a Hillsong conference. The rest of the content of the video is very much Gospel and Christ oriented and I, too, wish I could have been there!

    I have a personal hatred for the “prosperity gospel” - seriously does my head in. And that’s my only gripe against Hillsong - the whole prosperity thing. Jesus didn’t die to make me rich. This year seemed a little better in that regard to last year - which I attended (actually I feature in one of Jentezen Franklin’s video’s - which also does my head in :))

    I’m glad Brian’s son seems compelled to reach out to the lost and needy much more than his daddy.

    Next year Mr Joel Osteen is making an appearance - automatically disqualified me from attending.

    Yes, and I was disappointed when I noticed somewhere along the line that Hillsong had played at Osteen’s church.

    But you’re right about the younger Houston. I like where he’s coming from. And on a semi-related note, you’ve probably seen John Piper’s refreshingly bold statements against the prosperity “gospel” : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTc_FoELt8s&feature=related

    Am surprised to see that Craig Groeschel from LifeChurch.tv is going to be their next year - I would go just to check him out and party with United.

    Craig’s church seems extremely different to Hillsong. Do you know much of him?

    Hi again - no, I’m afraid I’m only familiar with Craig Groeschel’s name, and not his teaching.

    I did listen to your message - right on! Just recently I was teaching our teenagers about “praying in Jesus’ name.” It just kills me when folks flip that line out at the end of a prayer without thought.
