Every now and then I come across a ministry which I seriously like. What I don’t like are self inflated “look at me” type ministries or personalities with the sole goal of boosting someone’s ego or profile. And in the ‘Christian” world, there are heaps of these.
In researching for an upcoming sermon on adultery and pornography, I revisited a site I checked out a couple of months back. xxxchurch.com is a site/ministry which tackles head on, the issues of porn in our society.
What I love most about this ministry is their approach to getting “out there” to the porn industry and tackling head on the issues it creates in society. Sometimes they get heavily attacked by more conservative Christian groups because, for example, they attend porn conferences and expo’s.
But like Jesus hanging out with prostitutes and tax collectors, these guys, led by Craig Gross, are making an impact. Have a look at the following documentary “Missionary Positions” for a fascinating and in-depth account of their ministry.
They have a bunch of video’s available on their website and on their YouTube Channel - so be sure to check it out. But two of their clips which I really appreciate and will use in my sermon are below. The first is about a guy who was once addicted to porn and the effect this had on his life.
The next clip is a music video called ‘Constance’. A great song about a devastating reality for so many people. Next time you are tempted to looking at porn, remember that the girl is somebody’s daughter.
xxxchurch.com also provide free accountability software to help you deal with your issue. A simple program running in the background monitoring your surfing patterns and emailing your accountability partner every two or four weeks of any dodgy sites you visit. Is it fool proof? No. But it’s a great tool to use if you want to change you addiction to porn. Here is the link.
I strongly suggest you check out xxxchurch.com even if you don’t have an issue with porn. A simple, yet in your face, approach is used for this whole area of sexual addiction. For example, on the topic of masturbation, they say:

This ministry is doing a great job of raising awareness of the issue of sexual addiction. I hope others will heed their message.

Thanks for stopping by and for your message. Although I must disagree with you completely. Their “methods” of their ministry go a long way to attract those addicted to porn and those working in the porn industry to visit their website where they get a tonne of material to help them get over their addiction of they want to. It is a site about the topic of porn. And it is a Christian website - so ther is nothing wrong about labeling the number 1 Christian porn website.
Their ministry is all about repenting - this you would see if you bothered to take the time to check things out instead of looking quickly, freaking out, reaching for your bible and finding some scripture to justify your position and then sitting behind it to make yourself look all holy.
I saw many people freaking out at massilon ohio when they stood in a walmart parking lot looking at XXXchurchs SUV ,,with NO 1 christian porn site on it… when the drivers of the SUV were asked do christians stop sinning,,these reprobates told the crowd NO! these two me with their SUV were bragging proud as peacocks about the fact they sin almost daily and are promoting a website called Christian Porn to help people who are perverts,,,so whats next? craig gross will you have your people drive a SUV with”Jesus is Gay.com” to draw gays? how about “Christs No 1 nude gay porn site”.“you trash His church why not Him?”you can tell the great whore and her whore houses your there to help free the gays and it draws them,,, sure you will recieve great support you might make a killing… then you can tell the gays ” God loves them and they will always keep sinning and are saved and born again….(you people are repulsive)

Hey Michael, so are you calling God a liar when you profess that Christians don’t sin? C’mon man. There is a massive difference in abiding in sin knowing that it’s wrong and stumbling into sin.
Don’t come across so self righteous man. Take a chill pill and understand that sinning is wrong. BUT at the same time, if/when we fall into sin, we have the ultimate High Priest pleading our case.
Does that mean we abide in sin? No way! And that’s what these guys were trying to get across to you when they say that Christians still sin. If we didn’t, I don’t think Christ would have any need to be our High Priest.

Thanks for your comments. But I’m not going to debate this with you further. When we stand before God, I would much rather let Christ’s righteousness cover me instead of relying on my own.
I do my best to not sin. But I would never say that I don’t ever sin. I would be a self righteous fool to say that. And my final words to you come from 1 John 1:8 - 1 John 2:2:
“If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.”
I’m human - saved by Grace and being regenerated day by day. I still fall many times and take great comfort that I have an Advocate pleading my case and in the end, His righteousness will be gifted to me.
